Less than a month into the new board and there is already news to convey!

With the slight change of our board, we've really got some good changes going on. Our team is energized and wants to get things done. There have been a couple of fist fights and one duel, but things are settling down (actually, everyone's been amicable, so it's not that exciting). Everyone is really getting involved and there is a definite purpose on the board.

Here is what we are currently working through.

We started off with a discussion of what to do in the next year. There is a lot of passion among our board and the consensus is that we need to "git 'er done". Do whatever it takes to bring all of the blades back, add new hosts, spend money on new blades. There are a lot of good ideas flowing and I have extremely high hopes.

We are currently asking all of the hosts to send us their requests for parts so we can get the blades up and running. This post - http://www.tdprojecthope.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=430 - is where you can put in your 2 cents of how to replace the parts that Mike needs. We're pretty close to being ready to order parts, so get in there quick if you want to participate. Mike has a lot of downed blades because we've sent him other host's downed blades (don't blame the fix-it man). For the 100th time, thanks Mike!

We also will have quite a few shiny, gently used blades that will need a new home. So we've been discussing the process of adding new hosts. This will be happening very very soon. So, if you think you might want to host, think a little harder and we'll be posting soon.

We have also discussed, then ordered (Jeff did) a Paypal debit card. We cannot use it at all stores (i.e newegg), but only at stores that accept a shipping address that is different from the billing address (i.e. amazon). We will get 1% cash back on purchase and it will make life much easier.

I will also be updating this forum http://www.tdprojecthope.com/forum/index.php?showforum=4 on a regular basis with the status of blades that are down. Until all blades are up, we cannot add new blades so this is priority number 1.

Finally, and this should probably be at the top, Peter has added back "cheers" and fixed multiple other behind the scenes forum issues. He's killing gremlins on a daily basis it seems. He's been invaluable and largely the man behind the curtains (while often on both sides of the curtain).

That's where we are right now.. it has actually been quite a busy few weeks. A big thank you to the board members for the early dedication you are showing. I appreciate the passion and the vision.

This will be a successful year!

Best Regards,
Brian
