Jim's blades currently have 256 - and are running TSC & initializing slowly

I'd like to see him add some memory - 512 minimum (a GB would be better, IMO)

This is what it supports

2 x 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets support up to a maximum 2GB unbuffered PC2700.2100/1600 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory

CPUs installed are Athlon XP2700+

Anyone have any to spare? Or should we place an order?

Edit...how about banging up all current hosts to 512 at the very least?

I'll check and see if I have some memory sticks that are compatible. I don't think I do -- but I just might. I've got lots of memory just hanging around waiting to be put to work.

I agree that it's a good idea to bump up all hosts crunchers to 512 (at least). How do we get a report of how much memory each host has currently? Instead of separate posts from each host, perhaps the hosts could email one person with the amount (and type) of memory. Then, that person could put it all together in some semblance of order. That'll make it easier for us to determine who needs what and how much.

With memory prices the way they are we should be bumping these up to at least 512, if not a gig of memory.
So count my vote for mo' mem as a big yes.

Thanks for posting for me Lisa, was at work and could not easily get here, it gets blocked by corporate firewall

Excellent suggestion, Jacquie!

In fact, I nominate you to compile and coordinate the RAM-BLADES . . . thingy. You have the greatest ideas!

Kudos. innocent.gif

If anyone spots any deals on memory - please let someone on the board know so we can get an order going for our hosts
