I was wondering if the rest of the team members thought it would be a good idea to have a logo for 'Project Hope' ?

I would love Arelay to head this up and start making a logo for this project.

But Unfortunately I have zero experience or knowledge when it comes to graphical design on the internet.

But fortunately for us we have a large group of members that do have experience.

Maybe someone would step up to the plate and get this rolling.

LucidV is very good at logo's and he did volunteer to help with that. Anybody have any idea's of what you want in the logo. I did one with the project name but was not happy enough with the results to post. A color scheme would help.

I have to say ColdinCbus, LucidV, Tiggerstales, or Inchworm would be far better candidates for this project, Slava. My PSP skills are rudimentary at best. :?

I was thinking, however, of a design loosely based on a combination of the TSC building block and a banner with "TDPH" or simply "Hope" on it.

I don't think that there could be any bad ideas as long as we are working on something.

At the end we can take all the idea and designs and make a poll and just have the best design chosen in that poll represent 'Project Hope'.

I think that would be the best representation of what the majority of the team would want to have represented us.

I think the logo needs to have a light, "hopeful" feel to it. I think is was in a dark mood when I did that graphic.

Well, if you guys come up with a logo, just email it to me or give me a link on BBR. I can have it uploaded and set up rather quickly.

does anyone have a big picture of the UD logo? the biggest one i can find is the one in the UD program itself.

the bigger the better, i'm currently working with one which is about 150x50. White background would be nice, but not a must.

That'll work as a banner, but it's not going to do for these forums... it's gonna mess up the margins.

That last one I posted blends to white better. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,658...tart=20#6590081 I did not see how bad the drop shadow was untill I saw it here, so I reworked it.

if you want, i could re-arrange the text and re-size it so it's a bit less blurry.

I think it's all coming together extremely well...only slightly blurry.

I thought it was just me. Old age setting in.

I think the blurry text comes from the drop shadow.

the beauty of vectors and layers.

OK.. so which one do we go for now?

If we can sharpen up the words under Project Hope just a wee bit more...it would be better. The design itself is looking good to me.
